Life in Laos through the lens of a diplomatic wife raising twin toddlers.

Around Here Lately

A glimpse into our life in between tantrums, sibling rivalry, an overworked dad, and a cranky mom trying to keep it all moving right along…

Water sprinkler fun at the ambassador's sports field.

Water sprinkler fun at the ambassador’s sports field during a mid-school holiday week play date I organized for about 20 of M&O’s classmates. They started out fully dressed and enjoyed the covered playground, balls, outdoor toys, and kicking around the field on on scooters until it got too hot. We’re lucky the gardener left the sprinklers on.

From 3-months to 3-years, a last hurrah on the stroller before we sold it ;D

From 3-months in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to 3-years old in Vientiane, Laos – a last hurrah on the stroller before we sold it ;D

M helping G make his first batch of home-brewed beer.

Starting out our morning right.

Our visitors from Hanoi. As you can see, O really enjoyed their company.

Not the best family shot with the sun in G’s eye ball, O choking me, and M looking spaced out but at least we’re all in the same shot!

Guru comes to visit from Singapore! O pitches while M elegantly plays outfield.

So fun playing tour guide.

M follows traditional customs at our first Lao wedding.

Lovely family you got there!! I was wondering, have you sold the twins’ two-seated stroller? I’m looking for one in Vientiane and it’s so difficult to find one…

Thank you, Mariah. We got rid of the strollers awhile back. Sorry. But do you know about the facebook page “Buy and Sell in Vientiane”? You can express interest there to see if anyone has one to sell. Good luck!

I agree-I love that shot as well. Just gorgeous. Such a great moment that she’ll look back on in awe!

She has always been so quick and willing to pick up anything new, perfect for our transient multi-cultural life-style!
